Event Name: Rivercade Parade
When: July 18th, 2007
6:00 PM to NONE
Where: Parade Grounds
Sioux City, IA
General Information: The Central Garrison has been invited to attend the Rivercade Parade in Sioux City, IA.

Rivercade is a local event that has been going on for decades and is the city's main event for the year. The five day long celebration is kicked off with a major parade. The parade starts at 3rd and Water Street in Sioux City, IA and goes for approximately 20 blocks, ending at about a block from the starting point. Normal attendance is between 10,000 and 40,000 people depending on the weather with hundreds of entrants and floats.

It will be televised LIVE on the local NBC affiliate and we have already had other networks (ABC) approach me for interviews with the troopers before the parade. The person in charge of the parade is VERY EXCITED to have the 501st involved, especially after seeing the great response at the Rose Parade. We are being put in front of the parade in a very prominent spot.
