The Central Garrison has received an event request from HopeKids to participate in their HOPE Day Festival, which will be held at the University of Minnesota athletic fields on Sunday, Sept 7 from noon to 4pm. HopeKids is a program for families that have a child with cancer or other life threatening medical conditions. Here is their website: www.hopekids.org They are anticipating about 2,000 people for the event, along with about 500 athletes from the university to help with games, contests, and sporting clinics, so it is a pretty big deal. They have asked us to bring Star Wars to life for these kids. |
