The Central Garrison has been asked to participate in the Relay for Life sponsored by the American Cancer Society on Friday, June 20. The event is held at Woodbury High School, with the relay held in the school parking lot from 6pm until 6am the following morning, and the program in the bandshell at adjacent Ojibway Park at 10pm. Our participation is requested from 7pm to 10pm. They have a Star Wars theme for the evening and will be showing Star Wars movies during the night after the program. The tentative plans are for us to participate with photos for a voluntary contribution and perhaps "walking a lap with a Star Wars character" as well. I will update this post as I receive more information. Maybe we can even have R2D2 walking with us too! |
