General Information:	The Central Garrison has been invited to troop at this years 2008 Kidtoberfest in Oskaloosa, Iowa. The event will be held on October 11th from 10am to 3pm at the Penncentral Mall. Extension in Mahaska County plans and presents the annual Kidtoberfest event. Kidtoberfest is a free, one-day event which brings together youth development and youth services agencies from around Mahaska County. The event provides area youth and parents the opportunity to learn more about youth development resources available in the area. Kidtoberfest, which focuses on youth ages 12 and under, features educational booths staffed by area youth development and family services groups. The event connects agencies to youth and parents, provides information about services offered, and allows participants the opportunity to enroll in programs and activities. Along with the informational booths, the event will feature quality entertainment like inflatable games, hands-on activities, local children’s entertainers, mascots, and youth development and safety activities like fingerprinting, fire safety, crafts, and physical activity demonstrations.
