This is the Hastings Public Library 2nd Annual "May the 4th Be With You" event. This event is free for families. This event is a way for the library to engage our community and offer Star Wars themed activities for children such as Jedi mind training and pin the light saber on Yoda. Last year we had a small pilot event inside our library, and in the first 30 min. we had over 300 children sign in. This year the event is in our city auditorium to accommodate the expected 300+ attendees.
The mission of the Hastings Public Library is to enhance the quality of life in our community. We do this through promotion of reading and offering activities for all ages
